@Home Realty Network contracts for KeyBox and
KeyPad services through our Association of Realtors with a company called Supra
which is a popular system among Realtors and their associations throughout the
country. This system allows Realtors to secure a home's key within a
"strong box" type case which is affixed to the doorknob, railing or
faucet of a home.
- The
KeyBox is controlled electronically and uses codes to allow access by
authorized personnel only. Only Realtors and Affiliate members of the
Association of Realtors may purchase a Keypad and gain access to the
system.
- The
KeyBox controls the hours during which a listing can be accessed and
validates a Realtor's access privileges. The KeyBoxes are currently coded
for access during the hours of 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. These hours can be
adjusted according to instructions by a homeowner to their listing agent.
- Once a
Realtor enters a property using the KeyBox system, that information is
imprinted onto the electronic data stored on the system indicating by code
which agent entered the property and at what time. This information can be
retrieved by the listing agent for any of their own KeyBoxes on their own
listings.
- The
KeyBox is designed to accommodate the Realtor's sales and marketing
activity in showing homes. The system offers the least inconvenience to
homeowners and other agents as well as the greatest safety for the
homeowner while a home is for sale.
- @Home
Realty Network is not aware of any instances in Utah in which a crime was
perpetrated on a home or homeowner while using the KeyBox System.
- The
KeyBox System is accompanied by policies outlining appropriate and
inappropriate uses. Users must sign a usage agreement consenting to abide
those rules and regulations. Violation of the rules and regulations will
subject the keyholder to suspension or termination.
- Homeowners
may choose not to use the services of the KeyBox system at all.
